Don't put yourself at risk. 

Swimming should be fun and safe!.

Jump right in

Without proper warmups, you're prone to cramps and tiredness after swimming.

Also, check the depth of water and signs around the pool.

Have a big meal

Don't have a feast before swimming. It's not good for digesting your food and can even cause vomiting. Wait for at least an hour before jumping in the water.

Drink and smoke

It's dangerous to drink or smoke weeds before swimming as they can distort your perception of risks and impair your ability to get yourself out of danger.

Hold your breath

Proper breathing technique is crucial in swimming. Holding your breath when swimming will result in oxygen deprivation in your muscles.

Warm up

Proper warmup can prevent injuries and maximize your body's performance during your swimming session.

Have a light meal

A light pre-workout meal, however, can fuel your body with energy for the workout. Go for food higher in carbohydrates as it's more digestible than fat and protein.

Stay hydrated

Just like other forms of workout, keeping yourself hydrated can fight fatigue and enhance endurance. So have a bottle of water or sport drinks pool-side.

Breathe out slowly by nose

Instead, take a deep breath before your head goes down and slowly exhale when you're under the water. When your face goes up, inhale again.
